u\u0161la je u slu\u017ebu nizozemskih \u017eeljeznica 1952., nakon \u0161to je lokomotiva novoizgra\u0111ena prema ameri\u010dkom dizajnu i kao dio Marshallove pomo\u0107i Nizozemskoj nakon Drugog svjetskog rata. Lokomotiva je slu\u017eila NS do 1998. godine. Lokomotiva je NS koristila za duge (du\u017ee) putni\u010dke vlakove i za prijevoz teretnih vlakova.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">Godine 1998. lokomotiva je odvedena u otpad od strane NS-a. Intervencijom odvjetnika, prvi konkurent NS-a, ACTS Nederland BV, kojemu su bile potrebne lokomotive za po\u010detak poslovanja, uspio je dobiti lokomotivu. U ACTS-u lokomotiva se uglavnom koristila za vu\u010du kontejnerskih vlakova do 2500 tona te\u017eine i 700 metara duljine. Oko 2008. 1251 ponovno nije radio. Od ljeta 2010. lokomotiva se uglavnom mogla prona\u0107i za prazni\u010dne vlakove i ve\u010dernje vo\u017enje iz Amsterdama. <\/span><\/p><p>Od prosinca 2017. godine lokomotiva je iznajmljena \u017eeljezni\u010dkom prijevozniku Railexperts , koji koristi lokomotivu za vu\u010du charter vlakova, vlakova za odmor i svih drugih vrsta prijevoza vlakovima.<\/p><p>Lokomotiva je o\u010di\u0161\u0107ena i odma\u0161\u0107ena Uniclean Low Foaming i izopropanolom . Zatim se opskrbljuje trajnim za\u0161titnim premazom za obnavljanje Nitocoat .
