1251 est entr\u00e9e en service dans les chemins de fer n\u00e9erlandais en 1952, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 reconstruite selon une conception am\u00e9ricaine et dans le cadre de l&rsquo;aide Marshall aux Pays-Bas apr\u00e8s la Seconde Guerre mondiale. La locomotive est rest\u00e9e en service \u00e0 la NS jusqu&rsquo;en 1998. La locomotive a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e par les NS pour les longs (er) trains de passagers et pour le transport de trains de marchandises.<\/p><p>En 1998, la locomotive a \u00e9t\u00e9 transport\u00e9e par la NS vers le d\u00e9molisseur. Le premier concurrent de la NS, ACTS Nederland B.V., qui avait besoin de locomotives pour d\u00e9marrer son activit\u00e9, a pu acc\u00e9der \u00e0 la locomotive gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;intervention d&rsquo;un avocat. Chez ACTS, la locomotive \u00e9tait principalement utilis\u00e9e pour remorquer des trains de conteneurs pesant jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 2500 tonnes et mesurant 700 m\u00e8tres de long. Vers 1251, la 1251 \u00e9tait \u00e0 nouveau sans travail. A partir de l&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 2010, la locomotive a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e principalement pour des trains de vacances et des trajets pour d\u00eener au d\u00e9part d&rsquo;Amsterdam.<\/p><p>Depuis d\u00e9cembre 2017, la locomotive est lou\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;op\u00e9rateur ferroviaire Railexperts, qui l&rsquo;utilise pour tracter des trains charter, des trains de vacances et toutes sortes d&rsquo;autres transports ferroviaires.<\/p><p>La locomotive est nettoy\u00e9e et d\u00e9graiss\u00e9e avec Uniclean Low Foaming et Isopropanol. Elle est ensuite \u00e9quip\u00e9e du rev\u00eatement de r\u00e9novation permanent Nitocoat.
